Hi, I'm Ben Parry

I'm originally from London 🇬🇧, went to university in Philadelphia 🇺🇸, lived for 6 months in 佛山 🇨🇳, and am now based in Toronto 🇨🇦.

I publish essays on Substack roughly once a month about topics that are front of mind. Usually I return in some way to religion, urbanism, complexity science, human agency, and skilful action. I alliterate this as competence, complexity, cults, and cities.

I spent the last six years in strategy and operations primarily working at the intersection of food and technology. Most recently I took the Tim Hortons ☕️ loyalty program, data science and data engineering practice, and financial services business from 0 to 1.
